1 Corinthians 1:18
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18
When Satan deluded our first parents into disobedience to God, I am sure he felt that the situation was irreparable. Sin must be punished and one sin leads to another so that it is a hopeless, downward spiral. Even among the angels, who could have conceived that God would devise the plan of salvation by sending His own Son to pay our rebellion, evil and sin. To those in this world who are lost, and perishing in their sins, this Gospel is foolishness. But to those of us who are saved it is manna for the hungry, and drink for the thirsty; it is the power of God and the wisdom of God and the unspeakable love and mercy of our heavenly Father; it is life, blessing, redemption and salvation. What is it to you?
